Work alone or in pairs to match the 10 words to their definitions.
Create vocabulary circles for the 10 words in your own notebook (these words are generated at random, so if repeats come up, you don't need to make a 2nd Vocabulary Circle--however, by the end of the 2nd week you need to have all 55 Vocabulary Circles).
Remember to keep ALL of your vocabulary circles--all tests/quizzes are cumulative.
Reading: Follow along with sound recording. Maintain your dialectical journal. You need 20 entries and we will be reading this book over 9 days (so you need to have two entries each day)
Each student needs to fill out your peer review form.

Finish your essay--Final Draft!
Print it out and give it to me today or e-mail it to me today--your choice.
If you have time, begin your PowerPoint (see below). You will only have tomorrow to work on it.
BE SURE TO SAVE ALL OF YOUR WORK IN YOUR STUDENT FOLDER AND/OR E-MAIL IT TO YOURSELF!
You will be delivering a short presentation on your essay.
You will be creating a PowerPoint that highlights your main points (with images to complement your writing).
Your PowerPoint will be 6 to 11 slides long:
Title Slide: 1
Introduction/Thesis: 1-2
Main Points: 3-4
Addressing Counterarguments: 2-3 (unless you already did this with your Main Points slides)
Conclusion: 1
Just like your first presentation, your slides will be graded based on Visual Appeal, Writing Style, Creativity, Persuasiveness, Elements of Speech (i.e., the presenter's speaking skills).
